OCI Vision Now Inventories Oracle AI Data Platform End to End

Oracle AI Data Platform (AIDP) is how teams run lakehouses, Spark pipelines, notebooks, and MLOps on OCI - but until now, most inventory tools ignored it entirely. OCI Vision now scans AIDP alongside compute, network, IAM, and databases so your CMDB reflects the full analytics estate, not just VMs and VCNs.

Why AIDP belongs in your OCI CMDB

AIDP resources sit in their own control plane: platforms, workbench workspaces, Unity Catalog-style objects, workflow jobs, and model registries. Security and finance teams still ask the same questions - what exists, who owns it, which tenancy is it in - but answers were scattered across consoles, SQL endpoints, and Object Storage buckets.

OCI Vision treats AIDP as a first-class domain inside the same multi-tenant workspace you use for infrastructure CMDB. Filter by customer tenancy, drill into categories, and export evidence without maintaining a separate spreadsheet for analytics assets.

What OCI Vision discovers in AIDP

The AI Data Platform Workbench section inventories 25+ resource categories, including platforms and workspaces, catalogs, schemas, tables and views, Spark clusters, workflow jobs and runs, notebook sessions, Git repositories, MLOps registered models and versions, Delta Shares and recipients, credentials, roles, volumes, Object Storage buckets attached to AIDP compartments, and control-plane work requests.

Each row carries tenancy, region, platform name, workspace key, and lifecycle state so operators can answer operational questions quickly: which lakehouse is active in London, which workflow jobs failed last night, and which models are registered for production scoring.

Multi-tenancy for MSPs and platform teams

Managed service providers can scope AIDP inventory per customer tenancy from the top-bar filter - the same pattern used for compute and network. Platform engineering teams running multiple AIDP estates across dev, staging, and production compartments get one searchable catalog instead of three separate workbench bookmarks.

AIDP scans run in parallel with core CMDB refresh. Credentials stay encrypted per organisation; inventory never crosses tenant boundaries.

Getting started

Connect your tenancy with a read-only IAM user that includes AIDP inspect permissions, run Quick refresh, and open AI Data Platform in the left navigation. Category tabs let you pivot from platforms to workflows to MLOps without re-querying APIs manually.
